To celebrate the Jubilaeum 2000, Pope John Paul II commissioned a series of concert presentations. This, the first in the cycle, features one of the world's greatest and best-loved classical vocalists, Jose Carreras, performing at Milan's Basilica di S. Ambrogio Church, accompanied by the Dell' Emilia Romagna Symphonic Orchestra. Carreras performs a collection of traditional Christmas music as well as Classical favorites from Bach, Handel, and Schubert.
